Young Champions of Wellbeing, Inclusion, Diversity and Equality
What’s the vision?
Our vision is to provide a variety of legal resources and support for young people from diverse backgrounds and their allied Champions to empower them to advocate for their diversity and inclusion everywhere.
Who is this for?
Young people (13-19) from backgrounds of diversity and inclusion: cultural/linguistic, Indigenous, disability, sexual identity, and gender/gender identity
How will this be achieved?
We want to create a curated learning environment that teaches young people about the laws around human rights generally, and laws specific to individual diverse characteristics. We want programs that also help young people to improve their emotional intelligence, discover their voice, manage conflicts and difficult people/situations and present compelling arguments to drive inclusion initiatives. We want to ensure that there are a variety of services that assist young people from diverse background to be safe and supported in an environment of well-being, so they can thrive and become future Inclusive Champions. We want to provide pathways to professions and careers without the barriers of diversity preventing access. We want to provide pro-Bono legal support for young people from diverse backgrounds who may need it as they advocate for inclusion.
What has inspired this cause?
We are committed advocates of wellbeing, inclusion, diversity and equality. Our lived experience informs our knowledge of the challenges and triumphs that young people from diverse backgrounds go through. We know that knowledge of the law, enshrinement of one’s human rights, and a deep and profound belief in one’s own value and sense of self, empowers one to journey to places previously inaccessible, and enter spaces where one can be heard, seen and respected. We’ve witnessed firsthand how these programs can transform the thinking and futures of young people from diverse backgrounds. Now, with the benefit of even more wisdom, experience and a network of like-minded Champions, we believe we can deliver more and support more young people from diverse backgrounds on their journey of inclusion.
What do you need?
We’re just beginning the work needed to harness wellbeing, inclusion, diversity and equality. Everything we offer to young people will be free and pro-Bono. Everything. Our intent is to funnel a portion of our profits from our commercial activity into this purposeful mission. However, we can’t do it alone and we’ll need more support from everyone. We have a lot of work to do working with a lot of partners. We have to establish this as a charity, we need financial support to grow. We need content, we need allies and Champions working with us to create the right programs for young people. We need the young people themselves to get involved and help guide us to their needs. We need everyone because this is for everybody who needs us.

If you’re a Well-being, Inclusion, Diversity and Equality specialist: we’d love any content that you would like to share with young people
If you’re a legal professional: we’d love to work with you to create content tailored for young people from diverse backgrounds
If you work with young people from diverse backgrounds: we’d love your input and ideas, and sharing what we do with your young people
If you’re an ally (parent, friend or family member): we’d love for you to participate in the programs (there will specific ones for allies), as well as share our mission with the young people that you love and support
If you’re a business or individual who champion change for young people from diverse backgrounds backgrounds: we’d love to have your financial support and involvement in spreading the word and helping us build our programs and services
